Context
A few years ago, I created a three-piece illustration series featuring giant sea monsters: an enormous octopus, a glowing jellyfish, and a majestic manta ray. Each creature dominates the composition in its own way, rendered through a mix of Photoshop and Illustrator to achieve vibrant colors and surreal detail.
The series was designed to evoke a utopian and dreamlike atmosphere, where the ocean becomes both a mysterious stage and a place of hidden wonder. In some of the works, faint outlines of an underwater city can be seen in the background, hinting at the coexistence of humanity and these colossal beings.
Through scale, color, and composition, I wanted to explore the tension between fear and fascination—portraying these mythical creatures not as threats, but as awe-inspiring guardians of an imagined world beneath the surface.
